Welcome! First, I
would like to say that I thrilled that you are interested in what my
laboratory does and are considering applying to come study here.
However, because of the volume of inquiries I receive from potential
graduate students, I generally do not respond directly to email.
If you find it necessary to speak with me directly, please send me an
email requesting a phone appointment.
Learning about what we do:
If you think you may want to work in my group, I would highly recommend
looking at the papers we have published and finding out what the group
is currently doing. This will help you decide whether you are
interested in joining us and will give us a starting point for
discussion.
Application: Any
students interested in joining my lab should apply through the ME
department. I generally do not support students immmediately on
research assistant (RA)
funds until they have been here and I have been able to get to know
them. This typically entails either taking a graduate course from
me or doing an independent study with me.
